Admission Process

Thank you for your interest in our school!

AvH welcomes students from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Families who are interested will be invited for a tour and an interview with the principal. Skype interviews can be arranged for all parents and students who do not live in the area. The purpose of the interview is to give a general idea about the school and provide an opportunity to ask questions. It is also important to get to know each other and prevent false expectations.

We also offer an Open House Day in October and January.

Deadline

In general, the enrollment period for an upcoming school year runs from January to March. Enrollment is possible throughout the school year based on availability.

Acceptance and Enrollment

Applicants must submit the completed application form, supporting documentation and non-refundable application fee to the Admissions Office. All admissions decisions are made by the principal. Once admission is accepted, the decision is communicated to the parents and a trial day (Schnuppertag) can be arranged.

To register your child, you will need to provide the following:

• Application form fully completed (3 pages)

• $200 registration fee (cash or cheque issued to ‘AvH School’)

• Copy of the birth certificate

• Copies of the last two report cards

• Official documents regarding immigration status in Canada (if applicable)
